National Origin

One's national origin refers to one's country of birth or the country from which one's ancestors originated. Under the California Fair Employment And Housing Act and Title VII of The Civil Rights Act of 1964, an employer may not discriminate against an employee on the basis of national origin, ancestry, heritage, alienage or background.
